On the 6th of April the infoday “The future is near: Europe for youth, culture and creativity in the Adriatic-Ionian Region” will take place in Ancona in the wider context of the the 2nd Edition of ART+B=LOVE(?), the first Italian festival dedicated to the innovative power of art (Click here for festival website).

The info-day event is organized by the Fora of the Adriatic and the Ionian (Forum of the Cities – FAIC, Forum AIC and Uniadrion) within the AI-NURECC project and in collaboration with the Europe Direct Marche Region – co-funded by the European Commission – with the intent of helping youth to become more aware of European policies for the Adriatic-Ionian region, a key geographic area. It serves as a bridge between UE Member States and Candidates for EU membership and is committed to finding new common ground and greater social, cultural, and economic cohesion between the two.

The event presents the state of the art of EU opportunities, policies, strategies, and projects targeted towards young people, creativity, and culture; it is also linked to the initiatives of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 and the development of an action plan for EUSAIR – European Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region.

Other important international entities that are taking part in this event are the Iniziativa Adriatico Ionica (Adriatic-Ionian Initiative), the Euroregione adriatico-ionica (Adriatic-Ionian Euroregion), and the Conferenza delle Regioni Periferiche Marittime (Peripheral Maritime Regions Conference).
