The online registration for the 3rd Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), is now open and you can register here, until the 18th of May. The Forum will take place at the Benedictine Monastery of San Nicolò l’Arena, in Catania (Italy),  on 24-25 May 2018, under the slogan «Our Region, Our Future».  Info about the venue, logistics and accommodation are available on the event website and the programme is available here. 

The Forum is organised by the Italian Republic in close cooperation with the European Commission and with the support of the EUSAIR Facility Point.

The traditional annual event aims to raise visibility of the EUSAIR and reflect on the progress made since the 2nd Forum held in Ioannina in May 2017. This year’s Forum will focus on the Connectivity issues, especially on challenges and opportunities for Transport and Energy networks in the EUSAIR region.

The participants will also have the chance to discuss funding mechanisms for all four thematic pillars of the EUSAIR and share concrete ideas on the future prospects of the Strategy.

Each year the Forum attracts numerous stakeholders, such as European Commission and other EU institutions, National ministries, Regional and Local authorities, Business sector, Academia and Civil society, who share views, exchange experience and discuss ways of cooperation. Side thematic meetings and cultural and social events will complete the programme of the Forum.

The AIC Forum in this occasion will laison with the l’Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) ed in particular with two EEN partners in Sicily  – Sicindustria e Consorzio Arca – by inviting the Chambers of Commerce of the Adriatic and Ionian Area to take part in the B2B meeting Side event, to enhance meeting and discussione between the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)of the Area. The registrations are open until the 22 of May 2018.
