Athens, 6th-7th February 2014: Stakeholders Conference on the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Macroregion (EUSAIR)

It will be held in Athens the next 6th and 7th February the “Stakeholder Conference on the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region” organized by the European Commission during the Greek Presidency of the European Union
The Conference will be an opportunity to assess the first outcomes of the consultation EUSAIR, carried out during the last months, in order to support a conclusive and constructive debate on main topics
During the second day the 4 different Workshops based on the 4 pillars of the EUSAIR Disussion Paper are scheduled: 1) Driving innovative maritime and marine growth, 2) Connecting the region, 3) Preserving, protecting and improving the quality of the environment, 4) Increasing regional attractiveness.

The Forum AIC, already involved in the Italian Coordination meeting held in Rome the last 23th January at the seat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is invited to participate to the Athens Convention as one of the major reference stakeholders for entire system of Chambers of Commerce of the Area. In this context the President Mr. Rodolfo Giampieri and the Secretary General Mr. Michele De Vita will participate both to the works scheduled for the first day and to the Workgroup devoted to the Pillar 4 “Increasing regional attractiveness” where a contribution and a clear and operational stance (shared with the Association’s members in the “Position Paper” officially presented the last 13th December) will be expressed.
