The European Commission informs us that registrations are open for

The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Programme

The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme helps aspiring European entrepreneurs to acquire the necessary skills to successfully start or run a small business in Europe. New entrepreneurs learn and exchange knowledge and business ideas with established entrepreneurs, with whom they are hosted and with whom they collaborate for a period of 1 to 6 months. The stay is co-financed by the European Commission.

For information on how the European mobility programme works, who can participate and how to participate, consult the official website of the project: https://www.erasmus-entrepreneurs.eu/

Important information

How does the Covid-19 pandemic affect the travel rules of the Erasmus programme for young entrepreneurs?

The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs does not define new travel restrictions other than those already existing at national level. Participants need to follow national advice and consult the website of their respective national ministries (Ministry of Health and/or Ministry of Foreign Affairs, etc.) for up-to-date travel restriction. In addition, participants need to make sure they have a valid medical insurance, whatever their destination, in accordance to the project rules.

If you need more information on the travel rules of individual Member States, here is the dedicated web page of the European Commission: https://reopen.europa.eu/en/ (available in 24 languages)

Covid-19 pandemic – Temporary adaptation of the rules of the EYE program

Following the developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Erasmus programme for young entrepreneurs has temporarily adapted its rules. Remote exchanges are possible and allowed for a period of 1 to 3 months. Entrepreneurs who participate in the exchange remotely are NOT entitled to receive a financial allowance. If, after 3 months, the EN can travel, the physical exchange can take place for up to 6 months and the EN is entitled to receive a financial allowance. The duration of the exchange (remote + physical) must be achieved within a period of 12 consecutive months. These exceptional rules will apply until December 31, 2021 (please note that this end date is indicative and may be changed in the coming months, depending on how the situation evolves). If you need more information, please consult your intermediary organization.
