Split County Chamber in support of the Gastroadvent dedicated to fish and sea products

In spite of the pandemic and the very challenging organizational circumstances, Gastroadvent
event took place in Split, for the 11th time in a row. It started on Sunday, 29th November 2020 and will
go on in renowned restaurants in Split for four advent Sundays.

Considering the fact that in 2020 we mark ten years from getting the Mediterranean cuisine
on the UNESCO non-material heritage list, this year’s Gastroadvent is dedicated to fish, sea
products and Mediterranean cuisine.

Croatian Chamber of Economy Split County Chamber is pleased to be a part of this year’s
Gastroadvent that, by focusing on the fish, seafood and local products, is sending exactly the same message as the Croatian Chamber of Economy through our projects Let’s Buy
Croatian and the Fish of Croatia

The President of the Split Chamber Joze Tomaš on the occasion of the opening of the event.

Tomaš highlighted that in this moment in time, it is more important than ever to buy local
products because by doing so we are preserving our economy and workplaces.
The event began by lighting the first advent candle in a special advent wreath of “sea foam“
made from rejected items and plastic by Croatian sculptor Nives Čičin Šain.
