Objectives
To raise awareness of the Mediterranean diet and its features as an integral part of the Mediterranean way of life and as. a vehicle for the development, stability and solidarity in the Mediterranean area
Activities
– Initiatives of nutrition education in primary and secondary schools
– Initiatives of nutrition education for consumers
– Communication campaigns
– Training on the best technologies for the production and processing of foods of the Mediterranean Diet
– Training in Marketing and Communication on foods of the Mediterranean Diet
– Pilot projects for the construction of a mark of quality restaurants in the Mediterranean Diet
– Exchange of experiences on policies / measures / initiatives:
a) the protection and preservation of products and foods of the Mediterranean diet (designations of origin, geographical. indications, traditional products, organic farming);
b) the promotion of the Mediterranean Diet nutritional education through seminars, training courses, study visits
– Feasibility study for the creation of a Mediterranean shared system for the protection of the traditional products of the. Mediterranean Diet
