Presidency Handover at the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce

Ancona, 26 June 2025 – During the General Assembly of the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce, held on 26 June 2025 in Ancona, an important milestone was marked with the official handover of the Forum’s Presidency.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Joze Tomaš, President of the Chamber of Economy of Split, as the new President of the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce. His leadership will guide the Forum through the upcoming two-year mandate, with a focus on strengthening cooperation among the Chambers of Commerce of the Adriatic-Ionian Macroregion and addressing common challenges through coordinated economic development strategies.

Alongside President Tomaš, the Forum also confirmed a renewed leadership team with the appointment of three Vice-Presidents:

In his capacity as outgoing President and newly appointed Vice-President, Gino Sabatini reaffirmed the Marche Chamber’s continued support for the Forum’s objectives and emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional dialogue, cross-border partnerships, and joint initiatives to promote sustainable growth, regional competitiveness, and deeper integration within the Adriatic-Ionian area.

The new Presidency is expected to build on the Forum’s legacy of fostering economic cooperation and supporting the goals of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), while advancing innovation, sustainability, and inclusive development across member territories.

We congratulate President Tomaš and the new leadership team on their appointment and wish them every success in this important mandate.
