Project’s goal:
The “ReTAJ” project intends to monitor tourist demand and supply in countries of the Ionian-Adriatic region and identify peculiarities and attractions of single areas in order to strengthen their tourist value by applying a specific system of logic. The initiative was the result of the work carried out in the past few years by the Forum’s tourism table of work – the final document of the last event held in Duress (Albania) in 2006 is attached to this document. This initiative is in line with the framework of tourist initiatives and interventions already carried out in the Adriatic basin by a number of institutional, public and private subjects. All this was also possible thanks to the financial support provided by the EU and the Italian government. Special attention should be paid to the results obtained by Le Marche Region which has recently actioned three important projects in terms of tourism: “Development of Tourist Systems in Albania”, “Development of Local Poles of the Croatian Coasts” and “Operations to support international partnership networks of the Adriatic – Community for Tourism”
